This brackish water desalination plant can effectively remove harmful components such as inorganic salts, heavy metals, organic matter and bacteria in brackish water. Therefore, it is significant to achieve water desalination through screening. And it is able to provide drinking water that meets national drinking water standards. Meanwhile, the desalination system has low energy consumption, no secondary pollution. Because, we use advanced automatic control system to ensure stable operation and high efficiency and energy saving.
Brackish water refers to water with a high salt content (usually salinity between 0.5 – 3%). It tastes bitter and cannot be directly drunk or used in many industrial and agricultural production processes. But, we can use this to desalinate this type of brackish water, remove salt and impurities, and produce fresh water.
How do seawater brackish water desalination plant work?
1.Pretreatment stage
Firstly, a multi-media filter sequentially filters the brackish water to remove large particles and reduces turbidity. Additionally, an activated carbon filter absorbs harmful substances and protect the membrane. Lastly, a security filter intercepts fine impurities to ensure the cleanliness of the water entering the reverse osmosis system.
2.Reverse osmosis treatment stage
Secondly, the pretreated brackish water is pressurized by a high-pressure pump and enters the reverse osmosis membrane assembly. Under the pressure difference on both sides of the semipermeable membrane, water molecules pass through the semipermeable membrane. Thus, achieve separation of water and impurities to obtain low-salinity fresh water.
3.Post-treatment stage
Finally, the fresh water after reverse osmosis treatment, according to the water quality requirements, uses an ion exchange device to remove calcium and magnesium ions to prevent scale when the hardness requirements are strict, and uses ultraviolet sterilizers or ozone generators to sterilize and disinfect when there are requirements for microbial indicators to meet hygiene standards.
