Case 1: Brackish water with a salt content > 5800 mg/L

In an agricultural park project in northwestern Algeria, the local arid climate resulted in groundwater salinity reaching 5800 mg/L, with high concentrations of calcium and magnesium ions, severely restricting irrigation water supply. We first used multi-media filtration to remove suspended impurities and chemical softening to reduce calcium and magnesium ion content and avoid scaling risks. Then, an optimized nanofiltration/reverse osmosis membrane system was used for pressurized permeation to remove salt, achieving highly efficient purification. Finally, the salinity of the produced water was stably reduced to below 350 mg/L, fully meeting the irrigation needs of fruits and vegetables and the park’s domestic water requirements.

Case 2: Brackish water with a salt content > 9200 mg/L

In a petrochemical park project in eastern Saudi Arabia, we actually adopted an upgraded reverse osmosis process for high-salt brackish water with a salt content of 9200 mg/L. And we combine this process with our self-produced high-efficiency semi-permeable membrane modules and variable frequency high-pressure pumps. The salt removal rate reached 97%, and the quality of the produced water met the process water standards of the petrochemical industry.
